Before and After

Dominic before...............................
And after his haircut from Daddy. So cute in both pictures, but there is just something special for a boy to get a haircut from his Daddy and then when Daddy "styles" his hair, too !! Look at that gel job !! Perfect. :-)

So Many Smiles

It was so good to be able to get together for a brief evening of food and fun with my high school friends Robyn and Renae. We talk like we are still teenagers !! Applebee's has alright food, but next year I think we will step it up to something else. Although it was awfully kind of them to let us sit and eat and talk for 3+ hours !! Such fun. Not even the blizzard that night could keep us apart. Love you gals !!

Christmas Portraits

Our family Christmas 2009....The pose chosen out of like 60 takes. Hey, this was really the best one, even though Dominic looks like he's going to kill the camera :-)
The "Lovin' our muscles" pose.....Don't ask !!

Everyone needs a Christmas kiss from the Molgaard's ! So here you go !!

Our tree. Nothing too fancy, real 9 foot balsam. Decorated with collected and homemade ornaments. Perfect !! Merry Christmas Everyone !!

Blizzard of 2009

Just when he thought it was safe to shovel the driveway............Poor guy !!

Cool Shot

Todd has a digital camera and was playing around with it taking pictures of the Christmas Tree's lights the other day. He got this shot of a few lights with the shutter open for a longer than usual time. I like it !

Pez Display

The local library in Stephenson requested that we display our Pez collection for the month of December. So of course we said yes !! It has been fun collecting them for the past 18 years but it's even more fun to show them off !! We have over 300 of them. The girls, Gabby and Marny, worked hard to get them all standing up straight with the help of a tiny hunk of poster putty on each and every foot !!! It took them four hours (bless their hearts) I was home making bread or something :-)

My Big Surprise

Todd is full of surprises ! Upon returning from Racine, WI, he decided to give me my Christmas present early. I was in shock, and still am. It is something I have always wanted, but never dreamed I would be able to afford. He works so hard, and wanted me to have the best. So he got me a KitchenAid Stand Mixer with a 6 quart bowl !!! Maybe I'll get some attachments for Christmas day ! Baking has never been so much fun !

French Braids

Gabriella surprised me today with Francesca's hair in a French Braid !!! She said that she went online and read about how to do it and then practiced on Francesca's hair and Voila !! I was so happy. I have always wanted to learn how to do it but never had the time or the ablility. Thank you Gabby for doing your best. She even did mine !!

GLAA Orchestra

Vincent has played in the orchestra at GLAA for more than a year and we have never heard him play...until now !! His school's orchestra came to our church with the hand bell choir and performed a Sabbath vesper's for us and it was beautiful !! We were very impressed and blessed. The trombone Vince plays was played by his Dad (Todd) and by HIS Dad (Joseph) so it is very special to all of us. What a great concert and a great weekend. Doesn't he look handsome in his Tuxedo ??

Samson Went for a Hike

Samson loves to go for walks even though he is an old man. He will turn 10 in February. His mush is turning gray. I love walking him in public :-) People are always leery of approaching him...But he is just a big teddy bear !!

Jam Night's Hayride

Our good friends the Round Table Ramblers invited us to their farm for a hayride and music jam night. We sometimes perform with them when we can and SO enjoy everyone's friendship there. Great Michigan fun here. There are about 13 members of the group that play instruments of various kinds. We have performed lots of places locally and always have a good time with lots of good food. These smiles are genuine !!

Puppy Portraits

Here's Chip. Kinda fuzzy but still cute :-) He has what looks like chocolate chips on his back, thus the name Chip.

This is Chip's brother, appropriately named Dale.

Here is Donald. His sister, Daisy, sold last week.

This is Minnie. A good name for her, she is so tiny. Very petite and sweet.

And this is Minnie's brother Mickey. Also known as "tank man". He is hefty and thick, like a little tiny body builder.

Target Practice

Dominic LOVES to shoot his B B gun. Grampa always sets up targets for him at their 40. He is supposed to have his safety glasses on, but he forgot them at home and wore my sunglasses for a while. Here I think he was just 'posing' for me :-)

Good bye Friend

Our good friend moved to San Diego because his health had improved. We miss seeing him but are glad for his advances. Take care brother !!

Lambeau Field

Dominic enjoyed the Packer painted truck in the Pro-shop at Lambeau Field in Green Bay. I surprised them with a tour of Lambeau on our mini-vacation. It was very interesting.
The tour guide was nice enough to snap our photo before leaving the field. I was going to photo shop Todd into the picture because he couldn't come with on our vacation, he had to WORK !!! :-) Yay !!

Seats we will never be able to sit in again. Sigh.....

Dominic was in disbelief from the moment I pulled into the parking lot of Lambeau Field. Here he is walking where his heroes have walked. He is one happy little boy !

The tour included seeing a room (or suite rather) that someone can rent for a mere $30,000 that includes 48 game tickets and all the food and drink you can consume. Very plush indeed. Kind of sickening to think about the $$$ spent there. Famous 'butts' have sat in those very seats. Big whoopie ding :-P It was a nice view of the stadium however..If I do say so. And I do.

Food, Glorious Food

What would you like to order for breakfast Francesca ? We are at I-HOP, famous for its pancakes, you know. "I think I'll have Macaroni and Cheese please." She must be 7 or something :-)

Gabriella and her Strawberry Belgian Waffles. I think she's happy.

Our weekend in Green Bay also included a visit to Coldstone Creamery. Yum yum yum yum yum yum yum. One yum for every pound I gained :-)

Olive Garden was worth the 40 minute wait to be seated. We had never been there before as a family, SOOOO good. Endless salad and bread sticks makes a bunch of kids and their Mom pretty happy. Oh, and Marnina's pizza was 5-stars !!

Vince playing with my cell phone during our wait for a table at Olive Garden. It's amazing how many things you can do with a cell phone. Thank goodness for technological distractions to help pass the time. I was busy watching people, my favorite pasttime :-)

Waterpark FUN !!!

Tundra Lodge in Green Bay, Wisconsin is a great place to go with kids. We haven't been anywhere like this in over 10 years, so it was high time to go. The children saved up their coins for over a year, and finally got to 130 dollars, about the price of one night at the water park. So, a promise is a promise, and off we went !! This is Francesca very happy to be here !
Vince enjoyed the waterslides. There were only 2, but he wore them out ! He tried pulling all of his tricks to make them more interesting, including turning himself around mid-slide and coming out the exit chute backwards. Hey, he only had about 20 seconds so I think he did pretty good!!

Gabriella looking lovely and happy all at the same time :-)

Marnina looking beautiful and joyful all at the same time :-)

This is immediately prior to entering the water park for the first time Friday afternoon. They have NO idea what awaits them......

The M-A-L-L

The mall in Green Bay is the closest large shopping center to us. We hardly ever get there, but needed to do some school shopping. Todd's cousin in California generously supplied some shopping money for that, so we got what we needed and couldn't resist a special treat for our day. There was a candy shop with imported candies from Germany. The kids each chose their favorite. Here's Marny with blue raspberry/vanilla thingies (?), her choice...........
And here's Gabby with malted milk balls, her favorite (mine too when a kid)......

Dominic chose the gummy snake, like every good boy should.......

And Francesca also chose the gummy snake, this is not something I would have done........ I hope this isn't indicative of anything :-) Needless to say we really enjoyed our time at the mall, and wish we could shop there more often, maybe when our status changes. Being unemployed does put a damper on outings like this one. Thank you California Angels for your generosity !!!

The F-A-I-R

The Dickinson County Fair in Norway, Michigan is great fun and close to home. Gabby and Marny just finished the Scrambler ride and they are looking quite Scrambled !!
Dominic is looking forward to squishing Marny around the corners !!
While watching the Magic Show, Rabbit ears suddenly appeared on Gabby's head !!

A Bloomin' Onion !! Can you say Grease Fest ??

And the "must have" of the Fair...Sweet corn-on-the-cob !! (L to R -- Francesca, Gabriella, Dominic, and Marnina)
